I heard one time somebody say that a man can sleep with a promiscuous woman but he merely wants to marry a chaste virtuous woman. This may be very actual. No man wants to be afraid that his wife would leave him. With a virtuous woman that fear is gone. This is real since the Bible states it is so.

The high praise for this woman of proverbs 31 is a great way to start describing her. As the rest of the verses unfold you get a more clear picture of why she is so valuable. The first thing we need to note though about how God puts praise on her before He describes her is that her reputation precedes her. Beforehand we meet her we are told how amazing this proverbs 31 woman is.
