Schools -- Try to find an area that is close to primary schools, high schools and universities. They are a huge benefit if you have a family, and also for resale.
Your apartment is all about enjoying a good lifestyle and having convenience, so you want to make it as easy as you can for yourself and good access to transport, schools and shopping near on your door step, without being intrusive, will give you a comfortable lifestyle and ensure a healthy return on investment, when you decide to sell. The top floor is generally thought of as the best location of an apartment building, but remember that access to your apartment is just as important, so the top floor is great as long there are lifts.

VIEWS:
A good view from your apartment is most important. There is not anything worse than having a wonderful sight of your next door neighbours washing line, or looking straight into the neighbours kitchen. Whilst inspecting an apartment, make certain that you possess either stunning views, or at the very least, non distasteful and neutral views. A view overlooking the nearby neighbourhood is acceptable. When inspecting the view, you ought to also be checking for views of your apartment. Will you be living in a fish bowl. Your privacy is essential too!

BUILDING QUALITY:
The quality and facilities of the apartment block are the last thing that you ought to think about. It is similarly critical that the apartment house is in good condition, no visible cracks, protected and clearly lit entrances, and secure parking. How old is the apartment? Can you see signs that work needs to be done? These are all very important issues to consider.
