A life full of action!

By: Dennis Taylor

Have you ever been in a rut that you just couldn’t escape no matter what you do? You feel it in your heart that you want to change your life but feel powerless to do anything about it. You are constantly planning to improve your life but don’t take any action because you feel it’s intimidating or might be a daunting task. If you take action while being frightened or intimidated, it will also empower you! Learning how to use this effectively will add fuel to the fire and keep you headed toward a more rewarding life. When you realize that there wasn’t anything to be afraid of, you will never get stuck in a rut again!

The list below is some simple steps to help motivate you!

1) First, be sure to realize that your life is how it is because of your lack or action! This step is really important because it makes you understand the importance of moving ahead no matter how you feel in the beginning. Next, take an action step to get things moving or to get the ball rolling. Take a step back and look at your life and figure out what it is you want to change first about yourself. You might choose things such as your health, job, relationships, or current financial situation, or basically anything that makes you feel grounded and powerless. Next, think about an action that will inspire you to make some positive change in your life. The change doesn’t have to be monumental, it just has to be something that will give you some steam to move forward.

2) Whenever you have picked the action step you are going to take, you will have to motivate and push yourself to take action no matter what the cost. The action might seem overwhelming but remember that the things that you fear will most likely not happen. In fact, you probably have let your imagination run off in the wrong direction, you are just afraid of what you don’t know or the “unknown”. Give yourself a pep talk and push yourself in any way possible in order to move forward, even if it’s a small step. After you have taken the first action step, don’t forget to let go of any expectations that will happen because of the action step taken, and allow yourself to feel gratification because you took the first action step.

3) Once you have found your groove, repeat the action steps that you have taken to be successful. After you have taken a step forward in the right direction, you will have to keep pushing yourself to keep taking action steps. Consider this: if you take fifty small steps in a week, you are still going in a positive direction to make the necessary changes in your life…this cannot bring anything but a better life.

Taken action quickly will begin to build momentum and this is really great news. Just as procrastination or non-action can create a cycle of negative results over time, being active and taking positive action steps, can create a positive cycle that keeps growing! Always remember that it gets easier as you continue to take positive steps forward, it will eventually become second nature, and you continue to grow and strengthen will every step you take.
