In 2006, Timberland acquired Howies and established a sports footwear division. The following year, it also bought up I Path which is a sports manufacturer focusing on skateboarding arena.

Types
So far, ugg manufactures boots for men, women and children. Products cover casual, daily footwear, sports and specialized sports footwear and professional grade boots. All the shoes are designed with various styles and colors catering to different requirements and needs. Moreover, Timberland offer customized boots, allowing consumers to decide how their boots should be made. However, in order to get customized boots, one has to pay more.

Significance
ugg makes every effort to ensure that their boots are durable, practical, stylish and affordable. But these are not their only concern. Timberland company cares about the communities where their products are manufactured. The company often participates in community programs. Timberland is concerned with environment too.
