Are Video Game Tester Jobs A Scam?

By: RameshNL

All gamers know when a new game is presented you can expect to find some errors in the game. When this happens some of those gamers go to the forum of the game to report the error and hope the problem will be fixed soon.

The point is that whenever these errors are found, the gamers communicate this find to people that didn't buy the game yet, usually friends or acquaintances. You can guess what happens next. These people don't want to buy the game.

Game developers know about this and off course they would like to increase their profits so they actually hire gamers to test their games before the games get published. We call these games 'beta games'.

When video beta game testers find errors, they report it to the game developers, the developers process and fix the problem, create a patch, and upgrade the game. Just like that.

So, where can you go to become such a video game tester? There are some sources to check out, but beware, there are many people out there that try to fool you.

I have created a website and did some research for you, so you only deal with the sources that are trustworthy. At the same time you can learn about the advantages and the disadvantages of being a game tester.
