Baby Cribs and Safety in Light of the Recalls

By now, everyone should be aware of the massive recalls in the baby crib industry. Infant deaths have occurred from drop side baby cribs becoming detached between the drop side and the frame resulting in infant deaths. Safety has to do with the way the crib is manufactured. Mothers should research the suppliers and make sure the crib they get is within the safety standards. Never use a crib from second hand sources. These are not safe. After the crib is selected, make sure it is assembled using the assembly instructions provided. Never leave out parts. Always inspect the baby crib to ensure fasteners are tight and secured. Consult the manufacturer if pieces are broken or missing.
