Blackpool Shows and Entertainment

If you are thinking of having a holiday, perhaps consider Blackpool as a vacation spot. Situated on the North West coast of England in the county of Lancashire, Blackpool is probably a location you might compare to Las Vegas in America. After London, Blackpool is the most popular tourist destination in the UK.

Once you are in Blackpool, there is no shortage of entertainment. Shows in the resort are varied and there are a great deal of attractions to suit all. There are many show venues in Blackpool offering entertainment for everyone. The resort is a great choice for both couples and families. Blackpool has lots of shows and attractions to keep the everyone amused all day long. You will find everything you would expect from an amazing world class coast resort but, in addition, you will be amazed at what else is on offer in Blackpool.

Blackpool is well-known for it's Tower where you travel to the top for an incredible view. You will also enjoy the famous ballroom as well as the Blackpool Tower Circus. The fabulous Tower Ballroom is an alternative venue for theatre shows in Blackpool. Blackpool is also famous for it's historic Tramway. The trams travel along the promenade providing public transport between all the major attractions.

If you are planning a holiday in the resort, you may also like to visit during Blackpool Illuminations which are illuminated during the Autumn. If you are searching for even more to do throughout your holiday, consider going to Blackpool Pleasure Beach which is a large theme park with some of the worlds best white-knuckle rides as well as other more gentle ones. The Pleasure Beach also hosts a variety of shows and entertainment.

Blackpool is unique in the UK for having three piers - South, Central and North. North Pier has a theatre and presents numerous theatre shows all through the season. Central Pier is home to Lendends live which is an incredibly popular tribute show that includes a few of the world's most famous performers. It’s a show bar so you are able to watch the show, have a beverage and enjoy a great night out.

Once in Blackpool, you could visit the Winter Gardens. This is home to Blackpool Opera House theatre. The Opera House is in fact the biggest United Kingdom theatre with a capacity of almost three thousand with the box plus the balcony all included. In actual fact, the stage has hosted many world famous superstars which include Frank Sinatra, Judy Garland, Bob Hope and other people of comparable standing. Inside the Winter Gardens, amongst other venues, you can find the Pavilion Theatre. This small theatre is able to seat six hundred people and it provides an ultimate venue for seeing Blackpool stage shows. Another historic building in the town centre is The Grand Theatre where you will find by and large touring musical theatre.

Blackpool productions are fantastic and there really is plenty to keep everybody entertained in the resort. Then again, if you wish to get out and about, you can visit the neighboring countryside. Blackpool is only a short distance from the Lake District.

Whatever you decide to do, Blackpool theatre shows and entertainment will excite and amaze you. When it comes to having fun, Blackpool really does have the whole lot.
