Evaporating Ohio Jobs And The Real Unemployment Figure

By: Pavel sahenyi

There are many motives, most not legitimate, why recently unemployed persons purposely choose to cheat the "system". America's recent economic crisis has given birth to many high profile financial crimes. But what about the petite crimes for less significant amounts of money that occur every month in every state, a crime as it were--a fraud against the United States government and honest tax payers . I am talking not about Welfare fraud , but rather unemployment benefits fraud. This type of fraud does not make the evening news or a special edition on CBS's 60 Minutes, this fraud however in relation to the recent economic crisis that has swept America --IS HUGE. Possibly, we unemployed People have no infamy in our blatant ability to decieve the Unemployment Claims system.. Maybe, if the United States were a communist country like Cuba, we would demand an umployment check from our government the very moment we felt like we were going to be fired from work. Let's face it Ohioans, those of us cheating the procedure; unemployment benefits don't provide a living income for you and your family, and you are honestly not trying to hold down a steady job. Your dishonest attempts of employment last all of two days working days before you get yourself intentionally fired.
There isn't any real "wealth" being accumulated by the 22 or 26 week disbursment schedule of unemployment benefits. The governement does not dole-out a living wage but rather a check satisfactory enough for you not to starve and meet some, just some basic needs. The regular unemployment check in Ohio is about $372 dollars a week. However, after you have been laid-off and receiving C.O.B.R.A benefits from your former employer. But how can a lower class family of four maintain an tolerable level of existance on unemployemnt checks that represent a 25 hour work week at minimum wage? The monthly premiums for C.O.B.R.A. benefits for a family of 4 in Ohio is about $1,069 dollars which can use up close to 80 percent of your unemployment benefits for the month.Secure high salary and high hourly wage jobs in Ohio for skilled and unskilled, and specialized candidates are scarce at the moment. Is it really worth pretending to look for work, applying to part-time minimum wage service industry jobs that you personally know you will never attend after your first interview for work? It would be very economical to obtain real work and a genuine paycheck instead of cheating the system. If you are solo with no husband or children, perhaps you could sacrifice having health insurance for several months. However, a retirement aged unemployed person and presently requiring high-priced health medications the COBRA benefits are your life line and finding real employment is essential to your survival.Tens of thousand of unemployed people are at this time cheating the unemployment benefits programs in their home state.. These cheaters are illegally obtaining money from the government on your tax dollars. How do they cheat the system? They cheat the system by not ambitiously seeking employment. They consider their 26 weeks of unemployment compensation as a free vacation, or sabbatical, or go on vacation. Your tax dollars are better put to use when justifiable claims of unemployment are fulfilled and the money is used to help unemployed persons to make a smooth transition into substantial employment.Currently there are many millions of Americans who have no job. About five million Americans are collecting unemployment in all 50 states. The unemployment statistics have broken all historic records. The unemployment statistics also indicate that unemployment problems in America are only beginning to worsen. The American government is not a socialist institution but the statistics on unemployment benefits would concur differently, many Americans depend on a government hand-out inorder to survive. A portion of these regrettable people are directly cheating the system. These cheaters persistently recieve checks for their unemployment by faslely applying for legitmate work, they represent a shadow labor force that is under-employed. These people prefer to collect unemployment benefits for the negotiated 26 weeks or as long as they can re-apply for more aide. In inference, if you are receiving unemployment benefits, you're better off finding a valid Ohio job.
