Ezip 400 Electric Scooter Review

By: Trent Woston

If you are looking for a fun yet functional electric scooter, the ezip 400 electric scooter could be for you. The producers, Currie Technologies, have been manufacturing excellent quality scooters for some time, and not just for kids.

The ezip 400 is designed for users aged 13 years and older. It's a great scooter for both teens and adults, and allows for fun as well as commuting opportunities. The 400 watt motor is powerful and allows you to ride on a variety of terrains with ease. Hills or bumpy surfaces are not generally a problem.

The modern electric scooter can reached speeds of 15 mph, and some people customise by over-volting them and get speeds of 23 mph or so. This is not recommended, both for safety purposes, or because you will invalidate the manufacturers warranty.

The design and planning that Currie put into their scooters is pretty awesome. Front suspension and a removable seat for longer trips make this ezip scooter a viable proposition for someone commuting into the office or to school.

Robustly built, this scooter features a steel deck and battery box, a very smooth operating variable speed twist grip, and front disc brakes for excellent stopping. Tyres make a really big difference on a scooter, and the 400 has low profile 10 inch street slick tyres which make a much smoother ride.

Battery life has always been something of an issue with scooters, but this one uses a 24 volt battery pack and boasts a range of 8 miles on a charge. This means that you could take it on the train or bus as you commute into work, and ride the rest of the way. Range is dictated by rider size, and this scooter can handle a load of up to 340 pounds,
