A new futon cover is a great way to give any room a fresh, new look. Most futon covers feature a high quality 3-sided zipper. If you can, check the quality of the zipper. Most zippers these days are of good quality. If the cover you are looking at is extremely cheap then check the zipper - it could be that they are using a counterfeit branded zipper that will jam or break the first time you use it.

You may also wish to consider getting a futon cover that is suitable for outdoor use. This is great for patios or for barbecues and other outdoor activities. Look for specialized fabrics intended for outdoor use that are resistant to sun exposure, will not fade and are water and soil resistant.
