High School Musical Movie

By: johnny qualsoon

It's odd to see the things that will catch on sometimes. While many may have dismissed High School Musical part 1 when it first aired on television in 2006, there was obviously a dedicated crowd prepared for it. In the few years since, the actual built for cable film has created two sequels, lined Wal-mart toy aisles with toys and carried a lot of heavy impact in the music recording business. Almost all that for a film that's refreshing and engaging but not even close to anything all the buzz warrants - except if you're a pre teen madly in love with Zac Effron.

Troy (Effron) is a hunky super star of the East High Wildcats basketball team. A leader on and off the court, Troy is a proverbial jock and also the centerpiece of the proud school. His love for the sport is definitely questioned once he tries out for the school musical and, surprise, carries a fantastic tone of voice to go with his gold shot. Throw in the beautiful new girl Gabriella (Vanessa Hudgens) and you've acquired a complicated but absolutely angelic school teenage romance.

A lot of the story revolves around Troy's efforts to appease everybody close to him while he lives up to the jock appearence, whilst seeking to be his very own individual as he understands this thing known as performing. Gabriella's along for the trip, encouraging Troy to be him self and competing little princess Sharpay (Ashley Tisdale) is there to try and do whatever she may to make the golden-voiced jock her personal poodle chauffeur and boy toy.

High School Musical part 1 thrives at being squeaky clean fun, akin to the Bollywood musicals of India where the young man and young lady love interests sing through the streets however never manage to connect at the lips. There is plenty of hand holding, serenades and romantic pleasures however nary a kiss.

For all those not really accustomed to the standard music structure, High School Musical part 1 may appear a little bit jarring as the singing parts appear out of nowhere. Framing the storyline around a school production permits the story to incorporate most of these figures directly in to the storyline. However some of the greatest tracks turn out of nowhere, placing the world on pause and opening around the viewer and supplying some effective choreography along the way. Overall High School Musical part 1 is a superb play to view with the kids.
