Illustrious Fantasy Series - Robin Hobb's Rain Wild Chronicles

One of the best fantasy series ever written is going to be Robin Hobb's Rain Wilds Chronicles series. Robin Hobb is not any stranger to powerhouse series. Her Farseer and Tawny Man trilogies were actually fascinating and path breaking. Her use of complicated emotions and very sophisticated characterizations is unique. Just like crystals, her characters have several facets that make us really establish with them. Her writing style is beautiful and uncluttered and makes for some terribly easy reading. However her concepts are advanced and intellectually satisfying. Her characters could be straightforward and uncomplicated however she makes them do some amazing things.

Her previous series, the Soldier Son Trilogy, wasn't terribly satisfying. I suppose one in all the various traps in creating your characters all too human is to make them do silly emotional things with which some individuals could not identify. In this series, she explores strange themes of magical obesity and intense human weakness. But after it slow, the dreariness makes the series a drag. This series begins where the Liveship Traders series left off. Tintaglia has successfully shepherded the sea serpents to the mouth of the Rain Wilds River and then does not make another appearance. The newly hatched dragons are malnourished and deformed. They need to be fed and brought care of by an unlikely band of human misfits. In the first two books, the dragons are shows to have their own internal struggles as they get out their long forgotten glory. The author explores themes of societal rejection and emotional longing. Her characters regain their multi-dimensional aspects and once once more we have a tendency to see a tremendous tale of journey and deep struggles.

This book is additionally regarding a very little lady and her friends. Thymara, who is the most protagonist, is shown to be an outcast from her society of Rain Wilders. She is deformed moreover and instantly takes to caring for the dragons that mirror her own physical and mental state. There are very interesting aspect stories concerning marriage infidelity, cruelty and even homosexuality that produces this series full bodied and robust. The wine metaphor is apt for these books as a result of you can actually immerse yourself in them and think about it time well spent. The author weaves different stories into one lovely tapestry and that's what makes a Robin Hobb book what it is. I'm eagerly awaiting the third part of the series.
