The first photo in the Leona Lewis secret album would have been taken on the day she was born: April 3rd, 1985. Christened Leona Louise Lewis, Leona Lewis was born into a performing family. It’s no secret that her dad worked as a DJ – spinning many an album on the turntables – and her mum was a dance teacher. This may be the secret to the Leona Lewis phenomenon – it’s in her genes.

The next photo in the secret album would be of Leona with her brothers, Kyle Lewis and Bradley Lewis, Leona being the middle child of the three Lewis siblings. The secret photo album would obviously record the progress of Leona through the various rounds of the X-factor, which she went on to win. Leona singing “Over the rainbow” at the initial audition and “You light up my life” being given the Lewis treatment would surely be in the secret album.

The success of Leona’s first album would not go unrecorded in the photo album. It was the fastest selling album of 2007 – the secret no doubt being that her exposure on TV had everyone talking about Leona Lewis. Yet Leona had stayed out of the limelight, spirited away to record her album in secret. When Lewis returned it was as a more mature, rounded performer than the Leona Lewis we’d seen on the talent show. The anticipation of her album had pumped up hype and her secret publicity machine made sure that the Leona Lewis name was everywhere.

The rest of the secret photo album would probably be not so secret. We’ve all seen pictures of Leona attending awards ceremonies, flashing the trademark Lewis smile. It seems she is never out of the press these days – everyone wants a piece of Leona Lewis.

Leona’s secret love

Somewhere in the album, however, there would be bound to be a picture of her secret love - her pet Rotweiller – not the sort of dog you would expect Leona to have.

So that’s an imaginary peruse through the secret photo album of Leona Lewis. In terms of musical albums, Leona’s favourite album of all time is apparently Thriller by the late lamented Michael Jackson. Her new album, Best Kept Secret, looks set to become the favourite Leona Lewis album so far for fans who have had a secret desire to hear Leona on the dance floor.
