Murder – The Brutal Killing

Murder is in itself an inhumane thing on this earth. Murder is considered to be the most brutal act that one human being can do to another human being. Murder falls in the category of most dreadful crimes that one can ever commit. Thus, based on its cruel and severe nature the punishment of this crime is also serious. The person who has committed this crime may have to face life imprisonment or death sentence depending upon the laws of particular state.

Explanation about murder
There is slight change in the definition of murder depending upon its jurisdiction. Although the main elements that constitute murder are same.
It is considered as an act of killing other person
It is intentional, malicious and purposeful killing

Reasons and facts behind this crime
The reasons and facts behind this crime are as below:

1. Important factor here may be money

2. If one wants to take revenge for something

3. Power and love may also be one of the reasons

4. Even jealously can be the cause of murder

False confessions by coercive psychological questioning methods

The major cause of most false confessions is basically due to the coercive psychological questioning methods adopted by the interrogator. These techniques and methods are so controlling and dominant that they not comprise the false confessions from mentally ill person but can lead even person with high intelligence to confess the crimes which actually was not committed by that person.

In order to prevent this from the first and foremost step would be to isolate the suspect. The suspect should not be allowed to meet family members or friends. It also the duty of every judge to see whether the confession made is coerced i.e. forced or voluntary.

Exclusions
There are certain acts that are excluded from the definition of crime and they are as below:

Manslaughter – This is unlawful killing without intent or malice.
Suicide – This is considered murder in some societies and even assisting in suicide may be considered as crime.
Capital punishment – This is ordered by the court of law.
Homicide – It is basically accidental killing. It may or may not be considered as crime.

There are basically four types of murder first degree, second degree, depraved heart murder and felony murder.
