On the road to become a good professional wedding photographer in the world

By: Roberto Garabell

Once you decide to become a professional wedding photographer, two good questions arise. Such as, how to learn to become a professionalwedding photographer? The emphasis here is on the word professional, since anyone who takes pictures, assuming that the photographs are relative clear and properly exposed, can be considered a wedding photographer. The second question question is whether to freelance or work for a mentor/studio.

Apprenticeship may be a little-used expression in most other fields; it is, however, the easiest way to learn wedding photography. To really appreciate the hardiness and complexities came in contact with, you could go out and see what it's like.. In the beginning, it's best to just watch and to ask questions during breaks-not while the photographer is on assignment. Write down questions and your thoughts and you see fit. Find a studio who is willing, competent, and capable of educating. A lot photographers could tell and think that they are absolute masters, which could be their ego. The only road to judge for yourself is to see their art and compare it to that of others. If it stands out in your mind as being superior, then positively ask to be trained. Mentors leave very long impressions. If you have a good one, you will surely have a good basis on which to increase your vision. A not competent mentor can begin you off with bad habits that you may not recognize at first and may find difficult to break, assuming that you even can see that you are doing something not right.
Books, seminars, after work classes, online forums and resources are also outstanding sources of knowledge. Some professional organizations provide great learning classes as well.
Many studios want assistants who are experienced and show some samples of their work. Some however, may train you if they feel that you have potential and show a desire to learn and advance. Some studios may even retrain you even if you have a n outstanding experience, since most studios have their own unique style. They may show you how to take your skills and apply it, so that your vision can match to theirs more closely.
Freelancing is the most hard way to get your foot into the field. Most people have no idea how to work with their business, where to get albums, talk to the clients, put out advertisements, use business software . You can most likely learn it all by yourself, but it may take years for you, making costly mistakes along the way.
Choose wisely!
