Planning A Stag Party Without Breaking The Bank

By: Roberto Garabell

What are some things that you can do for a fun but inexpensive bachelor party? First of all, the term bachelor party brings to mind some pretty naughty things, but yours doesn't have to be like that. (It's up to you, of course!) Here are some ideas on ways to celebrate that final night of single-hood without breaking the bank or doing anything too crazy (that you just might regret later!).

Do you and your friends like to sing? How about a night out of karaoke as a bachelor party? Even if you can't carry a tune, it's still a riot to get up there behind the microphone and try. You can do this at a local karaoke bar and have some drinks. Or you could get some snacks and drinks from the local convenience store and hang out at a friend's pad that has a karaoke machine. You can even rent a karaoke machine, or buy one yourself if you think you'll keep using it in the future.

If you're feeling a little more adventurous, try a scavenger hunt. Write down a list of random items and split into two groups. Whoever finds everything on the list first and calls via cell phone from a specified location wins. Maybe that team gets to decide what the group does for the rest of the night! That seems like a fair prize!

There are plenty of ideas where these came from. These are just suggestions. Get creative! The point here is that there is no set way to do a bachelor party weekend or stag weekend. It's all up to you!
