The future of torrents and file sharing

A man by the name of Mr. Cohen is the genuis behind the software revolution of online file sharing relating to BitTorrent. This protocol has changed every way that people share files on the Internet, often recognized as a P2P technology.

BitTorrent and torrent software was one of the first around that got people excited. Initially there was difficulty with speeds, encountered by many, but in time people learned that they needed to seed the torrents. The more seeds, the faster they go!

Mr Cohen is now getting ready to release an all new protocol for streaming and sharing files - once more. Word on the street is that this may be bigger that torrents. He wants this to be superior to all other solutions that are around right now. The wait for this is a few months away. A demo has been shown exclusively to a few large torrent related websites.

The internet is young, and as such, we can expect grand and fascinating developments, many of which will occur over the next few years in the P2P technology, and these will astound people with each step along the way.

It is almost the anniversary of BitTorrent protocol, so this is very exciting. Keep your eyes out for Bram Cohen's new venture, later this year.
