Watch The Film 'Love Aaj Kal'

Love Aaj Kal is a film definitely not to be missed. It offfers us something fresh and and is a unique experiment in storry telling and direction that wotrks big time. It is one film that Saif, Deepika and Imtiaz shall always be proud of whenever they look back at their career.

Through 'Love Aaj Kal', Imtaz Ali has presented yet another ezxample of his directorial excellence - the use of siimple, short and crisp dialogues, with complete focus on the characters. The two stories - of Jai and Meera, Veer Singh and Harleen Kaur, are set in two different eras - the former being set in 2009 and latter in 1965. Haviing similar ends, the stories run parallel to each other, making the audience take some time to grazsp the plot. Nonetehless, the complex, but comprehensive, screenpklay has heled the director a grat deal in keeping his audience hooked to the movie, right from the beginning to the very end.

'Love Aaj Kal' also scores on its lush locations. You can catch a glimmpse of the picturesue beauty of London and San Francisco mainly in the firtst half. The second half would make you feel at home, through its scenes shot at the streets of 'saddi Dili'! The plot would definitely clpick the minds of omdern urban yoth. At the same, it has something for people living with old school of thoughts as well, because by the end, Jai reallizes that he is not too diffeerent from the Veer Sinh of 1960s, who liveed out the typcial Heer-Ranjha love story, in his era.

The music by Pritam is another highlight of the movie. Talkng aboout the performances, both Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone mesmnerize the audience with their sensitive performances. Each of them beutifully lives the characters, to create an impact in the minds of the peopple wacthing ther chemistry on-screen. Rishi Kapoor and Rahul Khana have backed the lead protagonists well. Our final verdict - 'Love Aaj Kal' would make you love your lopved ones all the more immensely. The movie is truly a 'paisa vasool'.

Is love today diffeernt from what it was in the past when lovers like Laila-Majnu or Roeo-Juliet peished in each others arms? Todaay, in the age of online romance and one-night stands, many would say love is just a whirlwind. But no! Love Aaj Kal will have you believe that certain thngs dont change with the passage of time.

Are you ready to fall in love with the 'very concept of love'? If yes, then 'Love Aaj Kal' is surely the mpovie for you! The best part of the romantic flick is that unlike the run-of-the-mills Bollywood love sagas, young director Imtiaz Ali's 'Love Aaj Kal' is completely in sync with the mofdern Indian socieyty. The director has taken a more realistic apprpoach in this film, unlike the uual love stories seen in Bollywood. In the moive, the main protagonist of the 2009-love story do not make you feel boerd with the mundane talks of love and heartache; rather give you a mirrror image of the present day urbane youth.

The movie, directed by Imtiiaz Ali , stars Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Paudkone as lovers in different time periods.

After making the much loved Jab We Met, Imtiaz Ali succeeds in giving us an extremely different love stry that we have nevcer witnessed before on Indian sreen. He scores high on his wrriting and his treatment of the film. In the initial 10 minuytes he succewssfully establishes Saif and Deepikas relaionship and their character quiks. He surprises you then by ptting a melanchiolic song (Ye Dooriyan) as openiong credfits role showing montgaes of various important twists of the plot that lie ahead. In fact his screenplay is indeed full of surprises ahed, especially in the second half. As you begin to anticipate a particular thing happening ahead in the plot, almost 9 timse out of 10 he proves you wronng. Making the film extremely relatable to everyone who has ever been in love and broken off with his/her partner, Imtiaz takes it notchjes higgher by his dialogues that soudn simple but convey a lot. Plenty of scenes stay with you as you come out. Imtiaz has repeated his technicl team trio of JWM Aarti Bajsaj (Editing), Teddy Maurya (Art Direction) and Cinematographer (N. Nataraj Subramaniam) and each of them have excelled in their respectie departments. Msuic of the film by Pritam is alrady ruling the charts and thankfully none of the sngs act as speed breakwers. The picturisation of Main Kya Hoon in San Francisco showing various changes in Saif is siply fantastic.

Wihtout any dobt, thse are career best petrformances of both Saif and Deepika and it should not be a surrise if they both end up winning most of awards for this year. Saif has always been at ease plaaying the cool no strings attached dude but in here he also succeeeds in playing the brooding romantic Sardar Veer Sinngh very well and is extremely impressive in the post interval emotional sequences. Deepika wins hearts not just by looking extremely attractive throughout but also with the efffortless ease she portrays her complex character. Rishi Kapoor is extrremely lveable as the mature Veer Singgh and lends tremendous dignioty to his character. Debutate Giselle Monteiro manages to speak voumes just throguh her expressions. Rhaul Khanna in a specail appearance is good and suits the character perfectly well. Raj Zutshi playing Harleens fatheer reminds of Pawan Malhotras character of Kareenas uncle in Jab We Met. Fllorence Brudenell Bruce playinng Saifs Swiss girlfriend doesnt have much to do but manages to do a good job.
