Work At Home Mums: 8 Positive Thinking Tips.

By: Justine Simard

Positive thinking can help work at home mums succeed in their challenge to work from home while being a stay-at-home mum. Here are some actions and positive changes you can make to get positive thinking and help you achieve your goals. Although some of these tips could sound powerless, attempt them for yourself, on a daily basis, and see how they'll change the way you're feeling and behave as well as the outcomes you accomplish.

1. Act With Passion In the Direction of Your Ultimate Goals. As a mum and work at home business owner or professional, put your heart into all that you do, and bear in mind what you are doing it for. Even the tiniest actions have an effect on your future results, and having your larger dream or goal in mind will help you feel great regarding each step you are taking towards it, however small it may be.

2. Have Commitment and Trust.. Determination has got to be one of the most powerful mindsets to achieve success, for work at home mums or anyone! In front of every frustration, difficulty, or challenge, say: 'I WILL SUCCEED', 'I WILL DO IT', 'I HAVE THE POWER TO ACHIEVE MY DREAM'. If you already have set that you will thrive, irrespective of what happens, and once you unconditionally believe that each one of your experiences, your actions and the world will come together to create your dream, you are half way there already!

3. Enjoy Life and Take in Every Moment. Everything happens for a reason. So what is the reason going to be? Ask yourself often: 'What is happening right now that I can learn from?', 'What can I see currently that can inspire me?', 'What's this emotion and what does it reveal about myself?'. Events may happen which we label as counter-productive, irrelevant, hurtful or negative. However, through each of those events, you'll be able to learn at least one thing about yourself, others, and the world, and learning always is a positive thing.

4. Feel and Show Gratitude. You're rich. You are lucky. You have got many blessings. What are you grateful for? Work at home mums have the wonderful opportunity to be home for their kids and their loved ones, while also thriving as entrepreneurs or professionals. Treasure everything you have, and ask yourself everyday - what do I have that I'm grateful for? From the clothing you wear to a house to live in, and from your beautiful kids to the food you consume, express gratitude for what you've got, and more things will materialise for you to be thankful for!

5. Take Responsibility. You're the designer of your destiny. You will not have control of everything in your world, but you have control of YOU. You may not decide on what takes place, but you decide on on YOUR RESPONSE to those events. You can CHOOSE to feel strong, satisfied, motivated, in control, optimistic. You can make the choice to be a work at home mum, and achieve success in each role.

6. Get Inspired. Seek out positive inspiration from books, movies, music or mentors. Become a student of personal development. Refine your skills, ability and natural tendency to be a positive, optimistic, happy, strong, appreciative, determined, passionate and inspired work at home mum!

7. Smile. Smile and the world smiles with you! Raise your shoulders, walk with your head up, take a deep breath, dress nicely (even to go to the supermarket!), and smile to strangers. Work at home mums are often very busy fulfilling all their responsibilities, and often forget to refill on positive energy. Smiling while lifting up your stance is the fastest most effective method to get positive energy. When you're feeling burdened, stressed or annoyed, smile and you'll feel a shift in your energy and personal power. It won't make the obstacle go away, but it sure may help you align yourself for a better response.

8. Be Healthy. Exercise, eat well, hydrate, read, meditate, walk, play, relax and rest. A healthy body is essential to holding a positive mind. For work at home mums, placing themselves first is often a challenge, however having a strong body, mind and soul is just as vital to achieve success in all areas of their lives.
